Synchro BC is pleased to announce the hiring of Tina Naveri (Interior) and Samantha Lankmayr (Island) as Regional Coaches for the 2018-19 season! 

Samantha Lankmayr

Sam swam with the Pacific Sport and BC Aquasonics for 8 years from 2001-2009. As an athlete, she competed in Provincial, Western and National Championships with the club and also attended the US Open in the summer of 2009.  After one season of being both athlete and coach, Sam retired from swimming to focus on her coaching career. In 2014, Sam attained her certification as an NCCP Competition Development coach and graduated with a Sport Science Diploma – Kinesiology Specialization and a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Coaching, from Douglas College. In 2015 she completed her Bachelors of Education and now works as both a Synchro Consultant Coach and Elementary School Teacher.  Most recently, Sam was the Zone 6 assistant coach at the 2018 BC Summer Games where her athletes brought home a bronze medal in the 13-15 figure event and a silver medal in the 13-15 team event. 

 

COACHING ACHIEVEMENTS: Head Coach of the first 12&Under team from BCAQ to attend the Espoir National Championship | Received Comp-Dev certification after only 4 seasons of competitive coaching | 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018 BC Summer Games Coach | 2011 Synchro BC Excellence in Coaching Award

 

ATHLETE ACHIEVEMENTS: 4th place Combo at the 2009 US Open | Silver medal at 2009 Canadian National Championships | 1st place Team at 2008 Western Championships

 

Tina Naveri

Tina has been involved with synchronizing swimming since 1983 and has swam at the provincial, national and international level with the Surrey Aquatic Club and the BC Aquasonics. Tina also swam Masters and competed at the 2012 FINA Masters World Championships in Italy. Tina who is NCCP Competition Development Certified, has coached for over 24 years and has been a BC Summer Games Coach for 8 Games where her athletes have won 15 gold medals.
